He did not have to explain what the word terrorist is to my fifth graders. He did not loose friends and former students. He did not have fighter jets flying over his home. He did not go down to ground zero and see a sea of garbage trucks. As far as I'm concerned, the detainees can all rot in Guantanamo. The audacity to bring one of them here to New York and grant him the same rights American citizens enjoy is beyond the pale.
