It's fascinating how brainwashed people can be that they can twist around simple English to suit their needs.

The Republicans threatened to hold back raising the debt ceiling unless their extortions were met. That's what S&P was plainly talking about in that quote.

The far right wing of the Republican party is a cancer on this nation.

Here's what S&P said: "The political brinksmanship of recent months highlights what we see as America's governance and policymaking becoming less stable, less effective, and less predictable than what we previously believed. The statutory debt ceiling and the threat of default have become political bargaining chips in the debate over fiscal policy."

The "tea party" fraud hostage takers are directly responsible for this downgrade. The American people will take corrective action to get sanity back in Congress in 2012.

If the tea party hostage-takers block this in the House tomorrow, the Republicans are finished in 2012.

"Trap"? That's pretty funny.

The debt ceiling was raised dozens of times by Republicans in the past. Only this time did they decide to hold the country's economy hostage to score political points with the far-right fringe of nutbars.

America is watching, and will remember next year.
