It would be great if the government told us what the exit strategy from the virus is.

Are we trying for zero covid - which is suggested by the current desire to lock down at relatively low levels around 1/20 of the spring peak That is chasing unicorns. It spreads too easily and we will import new cases every day.

Are we waiting for a vaccine - so therefore will keep lockdowns until that is widely available in 2021 or 2022 or 2023 or maybe never, how many decades has the cold vacciine taken so far...

Are we building up herd immunity as quickly as possible while balancing the loan on the NHS - That was the original sold plan. In which case we need more cases, not fewer. We should loosen restrictions considerably until we do hit that daily 50k-75k "Infections". Well actually with the increased NHS capacity we could manage 100k-150k "Infections" a day like we were having in March.

I've shown you mine, now you show me yours.
Stand down 150 Tory candidates in seats they can't hope to win.

A serious option when we voted for Brexit was no deal, its the only choice left on the table that actually represents "Leaving the EU". https://continentaltelegraph.com/politics/we-did-...

MV4 won't deliver Brexit, the WA is fairy gold.

We wont be ever be able to do trade deals or control immigration, CFP or CAP until 2023 at the earliest, we will have to implement all new EU laws and it will cost at least £75bn...

WTO is the only realistic option now. https://continentaltelegraph.com/brexit/wa-ronsea...

Here's some useful information about how the MEPs work:
https://continentaltelegraph.com/politics/mep-ele...

"Anyway, vote for the Brexit Party. MEPs don’t have any power anyway so it might as well be Farage’s toadies that get to lick up the gravy rather than the current crop of leeches and charlatans, and at least it’ll be a laugh."

I'm not sure what Brexit actually was promised old dear.
Certainly those doing the promising were in no position to make firm commitments.

Except that while in transition - 4 years - we are:
Technically out of CAP but must comply with CAP
Technically out of CFP but must comply with CFP
Still in the jurisdiction of EU court or must comply with EU court findings
Unable to control immigration
And it adds paperwork barriers to trade with the EU.
So no real "wins" from your list until 2023.

How do you scope "getting us out of the political union"?

5 years ago @ http://www.conservativ... - Vote Conservative in n... · 7 replies · +1 points

Trouble is the WA doesn't really "Get Us Out" in any meaningful way.

UK can't do trade deals
It will cost at least £75bn
UK can't control EU free movement till 2023
We have to comply with EU law
We can't get out of it..

It's not out and free away, or even on the way to out and free away.
No Deal is unfortunately the only option still just about on the table that actually delivers Brexit
