He hits too many batters (not just this game) and is often erratic with his control, and then gets flustered when in hot water situations. Give this guy the ball when the team is either way ahead or way behind and he will probably cruise just fine, but with the game on the line, i would take a position player pitching over league. The whole team better have pitched in to buy vargas dinner and a new car or something after robbing him of one of the finest games he has ever thrown. also... i am tiring of all wedge's sugarcoating in his interviews. say it like it is!
