Loaves and Fishes (Meals on Wheels) need to contact Mrs. Stewart and tell them she wants to receive their meals. I'd bring her McDonald's Fish Sandwiches myself, but she probably would be afraid to open the door. Her family needs to step in and take care of her by taking her into their home, or checking on her everyday with food. It saddens me to think Mrs. Stewart has locked herself up in her home and can't enjoy everyday life like we can.

Still tethered? How long does Rose-Tu need to be punished for her lack of birth knowledge? In the wild, she would've seen other babies being born. In an unnatural zoo setting, she missed out that briefing. So, her fear and overreaction to the birth is understandable. The zoo needs to unshackle her (which is adding to her stress) and let her learn to nurture and mother the baby as an elephant would normally. This story has been very disturbing to me. But, I'm so glad that the baby can finally be near her mom. Maybe tomorrow I won't wake worrying about the two as I did these last two days.

I'd lunge toward my baby too if people were keeping me from it! "It was not clear"?? Just ask a mother. The mother does not want to harm the baby. She only wants to feed and love it. The baby wants her mother. I say let the mother be close to the baby. She's not going to kill it. If she broke through her chains, it was out of maternal love, not evil (as they are suggesting). The longer they keep the mom away from her baby, the less likely they will ever bond. The window of bonding is slipping away each hour. I am a mother of four children. I know about the extreme love a mother can have for her firstborn. Let that momma have her baby!
