It's also obvious that you weren't afforded entry into college because you were Black. It's also very obvious that you weren't called nigger in Marine Corps boot camp and in Vietnam when all you wanted to do was serve your country. These memories are very difficult to put aside. Are you asking the Jews to forget the Holocaust? No, you're not. Then why on Earth are you asking Blacks to forget that their people were enslaved and mistreated for hundreds of years? That even some President of this country (Thomas Jefferson) took sexual advantage of slaves. Or that a President of the United States (Woodrow Wilson) allowed viewing of The Birth of a Nation at the Whitehouse. I could go on forever. My point is, you want to forget history when it is uncomfortable for you. Will you first ask the Jews to forget the Holocaust? Why not??? Are you going to make up another rule or clarifier to say, "Oh. That's apples and oranges."? If you don't, then I would consider that as avoidance. (Cowardly behavior.)
