GeekTyrant : Gene Roddenberry\'s Original Pitch For STAR TREK Uncovered - News - GeekTyrant

Wow. And here all this time I thought Joss Whedon had come up with an "Original Idea" when he "Created" Firefly. Firefly is still a badass show though.

GeekTyrant : GeekTyrant - News - Ready For Some INDIANA JONES 5 Rumors?

If I' not mistak back when one of the comic companies was printing Indiana Jones stories there was a story arc that took place in the Triangle. I could be mistaken tho. Not only that, didn't Shia say he wouldn't do the Indy ride again? Not that I blame him. There is no replacing Jones so why attempt to capitolize on making a min wannabe Indy for future spin-offs

Astonishing X-Men sucked ass!! I can't believe anyone liked that crap. I don't know what Marvel was thinking! I like Whedon, but I thought that was his worst work ever!!

This is only my opinion, but the direction that the movies had headed it only made sense that Randy was the one behind it all, not some BS they made up in Scream 3 where Sydney had a long lost brother from his moms whore hollywood wannabe days. LAME.

I've heard this tale many many times. From the time the video game came out to the short lived tv show idea. I love this book and the one-shots since then and I can honestly say that I will have to see more than just people talking about it to beleive it.

GeekTyrant : GeekTyrant - News - Anton Yelchin to star in FRIGHT NIGHT Remake

Venkman, I agree this movie whouldn't be remade. The only thing that I can say that wil make me want to see it is for the actor the get to play Peter Vincent. Roddy Macdowell was excellent (as usual) and I would hate for them to get creative and cast somebody like Jack Black.

As funny as that was I think that the only thing Stan Lee should win is an Official Marvel Comics "No Prize". It's the least he could get for stealing the ideas of Jack Kirby and Joe Simon and countless other Legends.

GeekTyrant : GeekTyrant - News - Is Amanda Seyfried Hardwicke\'s GIRL WITH THE RED RIDING HOOD?

I honestly don't know what the obsession is with her. I used to watch Veronica Mars all the time and she was in it as a guest star throughout the series (cuz she was killed in the first episode) and I don't know, she isn't all that good of an actress. Just my opinion though

GeekTyrant : GeekTyrant - News - Dean Koontz\'s FRANKENSTEIN Book Series to be Adapted for Film

With Patrick Tatopolous looking at I, Frankenstein I fear that the next couple of summers will be riddled with a dozen or more Frankenstein movies. Saddly, I'm sure there is going to be some sort of Twilight-esque Frankenstein film or a TV series called the Abomination Diaries about a teenage monster peiced together from other teens and the drama that each part brings to the new life of this patchwork human testosterone driven teen monster. His best friend will be Iggy a homely looking kid with a bad back.

GeekTyrant : GeekTyrant - News - Review: THE WOLFMAN - Why did it have to come to this?

Unfortunately this movie went through 3 different directors so it's no surprise that it turned out the way it did. I could only imagine what the movie was like when Joe Johnston took over. I don't think Captain America will be a wreck, atleast I'm hoping it won't be. I'll still give this guy the benefit of the doubt. He did a great job on the Rocketeer. As for Rick Baker, I read that he didn't even want the transformation to be CGI because he didn't think the digital artists could mimic his vision for how it would look. I'm willing to bet the studios had too much of their hands in the cookie jar and insisted on how the movie was going to play out, regardless of the direction the script and the director(s) wanted to go.

Cont: The Bear was lame. And even Rick Baker stated that he didn't want to do the transformation that way. The music I thought was good, however Danny Elfman had written the score to what was probably a different movie altogether. And after they scrubbed his score, went with another score, then went ahead and used his again, after all the editing problems they had, I'll bet Danny Elfman saw a different movie. I think the movie's plot was lame. They could have kept the original plot and expanded a little more in the vain of the 1941 version, not the father and son aspect. That is sooooo old that it was predictable as soon as Lawrence came home. I don't know. I really should have just watched the movie and said forget popcorn. Popcorn is for movies I know I will enjoy

I thought the movie was just okay. I think that a lot of the acting fell very flat. Especially Benicio Del Toro. I don't think he has enough acting chops to headline a large movie. Anthony Hopkins aslo fell flat. And I understand that was how his character was intended to be, but he is ten times better than the bland performance he gave (the prison cell scene where he reveals the werewolf origin) that sucked. The best part of the movie as Hugo Weaving and Rick Bakers make-up effects. I thought the CGI was horrible!

I'm so jaded by Spiderman 3 I can't even begin to think of what this all means. What I do reaize is, maybe this will be what Sam Raimi needs to begin work on his Shadow movie. Although, as campy as it was I enjoyed the Alec Baldwin version.
