We hear about bank robberies all the time but what amazes me is with all the cameras how we never hear about any of them getting caught.
She isn't the only single mother on the planet. There are a lot of single mothers and fathers for that point and they aren't locking their kids up while at work. It's great that she's working but those kids didn't ask to be brought into this world. I can't count how many programs are available to help people in her position. I think it's great that she's working but if she doesn't receive any punishment there is no lesson learned.
Hopefully this will bring it to an end and all the fire fighters and residents can rest easy. Now that law enforcement has done their job we can only hope the judicial system does theirs and gets a conviction.
The mistake here is she failed to use her brain prior to making the 911 call and like every other person that breaks the law, by making a "mistake", she'll have to serve her punishment...whatever it may end up being. This way she'll think twice about making a 911 call next year on April fools day. If she didn't receive any punishment then she didn't learn anything...Goes back to don't do the crime if you aren't willing to do the time.
I would have no problem paying a little more in property taxes if I knew that would help our kids receive a better education. Problem is it won't. Sometimes things need to be cut and just maybe, the community will step up and people will volunteer to provide some the services being cut, like music lessons, etc.
It's sad to say but this is the change that the majority of people voted for when they re-elected President Obama. This is just the first of many changes and all will be for the worse. Gas prices continue to rise and yet you don't hear anything about that. Just that the President went to play golf. Glad to see he has a job!
I don't think a new school will ever be built. Everytime I open the paper there is another meeting to discuss the same thing that was discussed at the last six meetings. Pull the trigger, get the school built and the kids out of trailers.
Have to agree with scorpiogurl. I see it all the time. Cars fly around the tractor trailor and then cut in front of them because they are leaving a lot of room between them and the next car to avoid hitting them. Then, heaven forbid, traffic comes to a screeching halt and the car that cut in front of the tractor trailer is going to get slammed and they blame the trucker for following to close.
There is no fix. People will continue to 'snap' and kill people. Whether it's with a gun, knife, or loading their car with explosives. All the red tape and court hearings it will take to officially diagnose someone has mentally ill they'll have already carried out their 'so called' calling.
Agreed.I can't remember the last time I was actually in a bank to conduct business. In todays tech savy world you don't even need to deposit your check. Simply take a picture. I'm surprised there are people on the streets because you truly never have to leave your home if you have a work from home type job.
