And the critics are stilled and everything calms down for a while. Since,, from what I'm reading Congress will not be able to get it's act together in time to prevent a large number of states from adopting laws similar to Arizona, they have to do something to keep the illegals happy and to give them time to put together a package to placate the voters. Right now there is a big push on other matters so this issue will have to wait for at least a year. Right now Colorado (after elections), Texas, Alabama are poised to jump on the bandwagon. Since Arizona's law was written to parallel federal law, no court can throw it out. The only issue is who can enforce it; and if the feds are not enforcing their own law, the states have to do it. I'm not against racial profiling in this particular case because 99% of illegals are Mexican and most have a distinctive look. It would be complete idiocy, like in the airports, to focus on children and old white grandmothers and target them for being possible illegal Mexicans. Sometimes I think the thinking in this country has gone completely off the edge. And comparing it to Nazi's and Jews, well I can only say that people who do that must have learned their history from a comic book because there is absolutely no comparison not any resemblance whatsoever. the opponents are desperate to use our own ignorance against us people!
