i know there isn't much you can say when someone dies - but wow ... it is always 'they died doing what they liked to do' ... while this is true i am sure - they preferred doing it alive i believe ... but anyways ... just my own tweak on that ... but i feel bad for his family. a great loss i am sure.

i don't even open them up wider than 1/2 of a child's body width and that is cuz of a 5 yr old! while she knows to be safe, sometimes when they get busy in play, they do not think ... that is a parents' job not the child's.... either open it just a little or install safety guards ... but ya know, many young new parents DON'T hear the news stories and do not even dream of the dangers of such things until they hear of it or have a close call or an accident ... so while it is easy to sit back and say YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER ... should they? and you knew everything 22 months in to parenthood? WOW! My hat is off to you :) as a mom of 4 and grandma of 1 and having worked at children's hospital ... i doubt i know it all and know when i was a new parent i did many dumb things and didn't have any clue it was dumb until i had a dawning of some kind ... thank GOD none of my kids were ever harmed in the process ... but a few times that is probably not because of me LOL ... tried my best though! i just pray this little one recovers fully and quickly and that safeguards are in place before they even get home from hospital.

you really think she was injured that bad? i don't buy it. i say in 1 yr from now go check in on her without her knowing - she will be skydiving just fine with her loot (if they are unable to get it back which i hope they appeal and win)
