Yes, happens quite often where I work too.
My prayers go out to the family and friends of this young girl. This is such a shame, at a time when they should be enjoying and learning about life, this sort of thing happens. It seems like they are getting younger too, where are their parents?
Just because this person did some bad things and made some bad choices in his life, doesn't mean that this isn't a tragedy or even that he did something to cause his death. He made some wrong choices in life, have you not ever done that? And who are you to judge this person...
I am related to this family. CPS has been in the home many times. They have found these children laying in beds with dog and cat feces. The parents of these children have had them one right after another. They use drugs and choose to party rather than just fix their vehicle and take care of their children. This is such a sad, and all too common story. I hope the courts understand the severity of the true situation and do not place these children back in that home.
thank goodness. I am a single mother of 3 and I get no kind of child support from their father. I have a very hard time paying my utility bills on time. I received a shut off notice and couldn't come up with the total amount to pay the bill. I filled an emergency assistance application with DHS. I live in Grand Rapids, and my caseworker from DHS told me that the bill was paid on Tuesday.... my gas was shut off on Wednesday for non payment. The blizzard started Wednesday night.... needless to say it was very cold in my home. Someone dropped the ball somewhere along the line and we were without gas for just about 48 hours. I have never gotten assistance from DHS with this kind of situation before, and it makes me very leery about ever doing it again.
