Street Beat : TW5 Shallow Mount JL Audio Subwoofer

Well the 13TW5 is a single three ohm voice coil. So using two of them on a JL Audio Slash series amp would be perfect. There are other amps you can use but the Slash series from JL Audio is made to run at an ohm load of 1.5 ohms which is what you would have with two of these woofers. If you wanted to run a different amp it just needs to be one ohm stable. As far as the question about the 10W7 that is a matter of opinion. I would say that the W7 would be cleaner and the TW5's a lot louder. Because the TW5 have more surface area they will be louder.

Ya actually I have installed about 100 of these things and they sound awesome. I would say they are right in the middle of a W3v2 and a w6v2. I was definitely surprised after hearing these things as I was of the same opinion as you. P.S. Thanks for commenting.
