How can Congress expect us to take them seriously when they are voting for and passing bills they do not even read!? I hope more and more Americans are waking up to where the politicians in Washington, D.C. are taking us---down the road to the poorhouse and socialism.

For those of you who would like a list of Blue Dog Democrats in the Senate to call and fax, here's a nice detailed one on my blog. Please call/fax the Blue Dog Democrats about Cap and Trade and Health Care Reform (just say NO).

The White House administration is in full PR mode. Disability insurance could be the next ‘freebie’ from the U.S. government, if Sen. Edward Kennedy has his way.The WSJ reports that Kennedy’s disability insurance program would automatically enroll every working American in the program, and premiums would be at most $65 per month. But what will this truly cost Americans, and will this program be viable?

I'm behind Marco Rubio, a true Republican, who is campaigning for Sen. Martinez's Senate seat. Rubio is very unlike Gov. Charlie Crist. IMO, Crist stands for nothing 912ers want. The increase in taxes Crist is in favor of is a prime example of this.... I have emailed and called Crist the past couple years to no avail. That's why I'm encouraging those who are unhappy w/ Gov. Crist to back Marco Rubio in his FL Senate campaign. I'm tired of politicians like Crist who ignore their constituents. And no, I don't think smokers should have to pay an extra $1 on cigarettes (and I'm not a smoker!).

Then presidential candidate Barack Obama mocked Sen. John McCain during the campaign for proposing to tax health care benefits. Do you find it ironic that the Senate seems to be seriously considering implementing McCain’s idea of taxing health care benefits? Change Obama deemed necessary?
