West Ham Till I Die : Lets Now Focus on Those That Actually Want to Play for the Club!

Scott Parker is nothing more than an average player, who played amongst a bunch if poor players, which of course created a perception that he is actually better than he is. Parker signed a 5 year contract recently and should be bound to the contract signed, as should all players. Far too much player power now exists, which is largely due to the over inflated wages these individuals now earn. Scott Parker putting in a transfer request is disrespectful. Personally I would let every player rot in the reserves who try to influence their own sale (shame they earn so much)

West Ham Till I Die : Can Oil and Water Mix, as the 'Iron Surgeon' Cometh on a Two Year Contract!

Big Sam quote from whufc.com “I know there will be West Ham fans asking whether I’m going to abandon the style of play that’s been the clubs heritage over the years. All I’ll say is it will be a tale of home and away” “At Upton Park we’ll attempt to play the kind of passing game the fans want. We will aim to continue in the same way on our travels but we’ll also be tough, hard to beat and utterly resilient.” Stop the moaning and give the man a chance.

West Ham Till I Die : Is Robbie Keane on His Way to Upton Park?

Any business will claim to have the interest of their client base at heart. I have no doubt that G&S are fans. However, they dont have the financial standing to move the club forward without increasing crowd capacity. Questions is: Do you want to see the club improve, or are you happy with mediocrity? The club clearly doesnt have the finance to develop UP or build a new stadium. What are the options?

Sorry, what does 30,000 Brisbane home owners affected by a natural disaster have to do with making a profit and running a business? My heart is with all the people suffering in Aus, so please read my comments with an objective eye.

Have you ever bought a house, renovated it and sold it for a profit? What exactly do you think they are doing wrong? West Ham is a business and you and I are customers with an emotional tie. Sounds like a great model to me!

West Ham Till I Die : Player Performances 2009-10 (As Voted By You)

Dear god, what an egomaniac. It really doesnt matter what you post or beleive to be an accurate assemement of the club finances, as you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. Anything posted regarding this topic is pure speculation. Do I support what G&S are doing at the club? Damn right I do, as there clearly wasn't a viable alternative. I have been reading this forum for a while now and it has become clear to me, that you are more intent on scalding the Clubs position rather than supporting. I will be renewing my season ticket with the aim of emptying my lungs. Do I still think you are a mug? Sure I do.

West Ham Till I Die : What's the Business Case for the Olympic Stadium?

Celtic, as much as i enjoy reading your posts ;) However, what i dont understand is how you make statements, without any inside information regarding the proposed takeover of the Olympic Stadium. It does seem to me that rather too many assumptions are made about the ongoing discussions and developments regarding the future. Lets face it, assumptions are the mother of all **** ups! I guess we need to just hope we are in good hands and let these guys who own the company worry about the financial stability. Given what they choosen to release to the media as far, optimistic I am.

So statistically you are saying we are close to being the best supported team in the premiership. 25% of 100 kids in claret, isnt that rather good considering the number of teams available. Using those figues I would suggest we could fill the Ungrado May Day Stadium in North Korea, which has a capacity of 150,000. Please note the sarcasm!

West Ham Till I Die : Sullivan on Transfer Latest

Hi Goatygav, I think you missed the point! This is a quick answer to stave off relegation. I understand your point about listing a player as an asset, which is great when they are not in the twilight of their career. However, Benni McCarthy is 32 years old and having him sign a 3 year contract doesn’t make financial sense given the circumstances. West Ham needs to consolidate their position in the premier league, when this has been achieved, I am sure the signing of players on short term contracts and paying 100,000 per week will not happen. Benni McCarthy would not be considered a good long term asset!
