No, breast feeding is not obscene. Neither is urinating, getting a physical, or taking a shower. Something doesn't have to be obscene for it to be inappropriate to share with the general public.

Here's a thought - don't answer a knock at your door carrying a rifle with a bayonet.

Here's another from hunter safety class - don't point a gun at something (or someone, I suppose) unless you intend to use it. I know if I was one of those cops, I would be assuming that he meant to use that gun.

It is tragic. The kid was obviously chemically, and/or emotionally, impaired. He made some huge errors in judgement. He paid a horrible price. I feel sorry for everyone involved.

But I don't blame the police in any way. They walked into a very difficult situation.
