Increasing the time limit would certainly be one way to improve the quality of submissions and make writing them less frustrating.

Another potential angle would be stretching the 24-hour time window for submissions. Sometimes it takes time to reflect on an idea and come up with an original twist or novel approach to get what you want done inside the limited time window. Maybe publish the prompts on Saturday, and collect the results on Wednesday?

I had fun, but speed-writing is not my strength. I hope people enjoy "Red Light Sun" anyway. There may not be much to it, but I thought it was funny and hot.
