If you jailbreak a new iPhone4 that has 4.2.1 on with PwnageTool is it untethered? Or must you use Redsnow to boot tethered?
So does any of this give us an untethered jailbreak for iPhone4 at 4.2.1?
Not much else you can do other then try it again, go into DFU mode and restore your custom again. Oh and if you have WIFI Sync installed, uninstall it.
So will Redsn0w provide an untethered jailbreak for a 4.2.1, 03.10.01, iPhone4, not needing unlock?
They will never do this for regular apps, ignore the OP's try to stir up trouble by changing rumors. Apple already has the FTC and DoJ investigating them, plus how many lawsuits. If all apps move from one time to subscription you would see regulators all over this in seconds, it wont happen, period.
Big deal, stop trying to cause trouble with your messed up interpretation of a rumor article. Of course a subscription app model was coming to the AppStore eventually for newspapers, magazine etc... Normal apps will still be one time price, if not nobody will buy them, that simple...
So I did the jailbreak, then booted tethered and Cydia worked. So I updated everything in Cydia and now my phone just sits on the Apple logo, never comes on, and I cant boot tethered because I cant get the phone to turn off... Would be nice if things wouldnt be release until they are ready...
My iPhone4 wont restore, made a custom firmware, only thing I changed was made the system partition a little larger. I tried a few times now, it enters DFU mode fine and appears to be restoring ok however it gets to like 99% of the progress bar for restoring and stops, I have let it sit for 2 hours. Can anyone help?
I have a 3GS that is at 3.1.3 with 04.26.08, always done with Pwnage, is there any reason or future benefit to updating it to 05.12.01 when Spirit comes out? Thx!
