Nah. If he leaves office or bows out of 2012, he'll be a quitter. Just like Sarah Palin. :-) Or, he'll become Al Gore.

Big Government : BREAKING: Obama Admin Hides Official IPCC Correspondence from FOIA Using Former Romney Adviser John

"CEI’s FOIA request details how the UN informed participants that it was motivated by embarrassing releases of earlier discussions (“ClimateGate” key among them) and, to circumvent the problem that national government transparency laws posed, the group itself." Huh? Please clarify this sentence.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : \'Occupy Wall Street\' movement hits Olympia | People | Olympia News

I'm curious to know who the 'numerous groups' behind this marvelous pseudo-spontaneous event are. I've seen references to MoveOn.org, the 'Washington Community Action Network', and 'Move to Amend'. But no one seems to want to attach their name to this movement. Why is that? If they're so proud of it, why not own it?

Big Government : Solyndra: What the President Knew and When He Knew It

Valerie Jarrett pushed the Solyndra deal. When Solyndra tried for an IPO to bail themselves out, Jarrett arranged for Obama to visit them to pump up interest. Didn't work, but Martha Stewart got a nice ankle bracelet for a similar stunt. Valerie Jarrett should be mentioned any time you mention Solyndra. Put the spotlight on her!

Big Government : Reason.tv: Q&A with Farmageddon's Director Kristin Canty

Dairy food safety laws -- including the pasteurization, handling and sale of milk -- were developed in the good old days when the industry had as much of a say in the laws as the desk-jockey career bureaucrats. In fact more so. Used to be to get a job working as a dairy sanitation inspector, you HAD to have dairy farming or industry experience. Dairy laws protect not only the consumer, but farmers and processors as well. No one wants to kill people with their products if its preventable. Tuberculosis used to be spread by milk, and all other manner of diseases. Plus, before regulation, milk used to be adulterated -- thinned with water or even other things that could affect people's health.

No no no no! Do NOT conflate government overreach with raw milk food safety!!! Raw milk is NOT SAFE! This is not a farming issue, it's a food safety issue. Even unpasteurized juice is NOT SAFE. (See Odwalla E. Coli if you doubt it.) If you pick up raw milk directly from the farm, directly after milking, and it's been cooled and held under completely sanitary conditions -- yes, it might keep and be safe for a few days. But ONLY pasteurization can completely render it safe, especially for commercial sale and transportation. Food safety laws have become unnecessarily burdensome in many many cases, but raw milk is not one of those cases. Don't undermine your message this way, please!

Big Government : Tea Party and Hippies Unite: Food Safety and the President's Food Safety Czar

There's multiple things wrong in this article - just furthering anti-commercial food production hysteria that's to food production as global warming hysteria is to free markets. I worked in dairy food science while all this was going on, and can vouch that while supplementing with rBST did cause health concerns in some cows, it WAS widely studied and there were NO genuine health concerns for people. Only 'concerns' from anti-commercial food activists. The rBGH supplement and natural BGH which all cows produce are identical. Injected cows did not have significantly higher amounts in their milk, nor any significant elevations of other hormones in their milk. Ingesting those hormones do not raise hormone levels in people. Much like Alar. And GMO corn, soybeans, salmon -- all safe, but the hysteria continues. Farmers who were labeling their milk as rBST free were taking advantage of gullible consumers, not protecting them, and adding to the hysteria that the rest of our milk supply was not safe. It was a scam. This is part of a concerted effort by Alinsky-luddites to control every aspect of our economy. Don't fall for their tricks!!

Where does Slagle say that "is it only "terrorism" when there might be a Muslim involved"? You're putting words into his mouth then blaming him for them. True, not all Muslims are terrorists, but all Islamic terrorists are Muslim. It's insanity to insist otherwise.
