I stopped my subscription to my "local" paper (owned by national giant) the day after the elections. I make it a conscious effort to try not to do business with any of its advertisers, and, as a local businessman, I will never advertise in it (Las Cruces Sun News) as long as it maintains its sharp left wing bias. I keep asking for neutral, but as their icon, "nbc" they consider "neutral" allowing occasional letter writers space in the letters to editors page. They would consider themselves right wing hawks if they even considered equal space, equal emphasis. It is interesting they have such a different standard when championing the merits of "fairness doctrine" for talk radio.

The effect of those of us avoiding The Sun News is that another paper has grown and is growing to represent everyone...it actually gives press to every angle (sometimes i wish it would not...the SN does enough)...but it, The Bulletin, is striving to be fair.
