Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation : Review > Reforged Hun-Dred the Conqueror and Origin Enemy the Dictator (Robo Force, ToyFinity)

That doesn't strike me as being even remotely accurate based on my interactions with fans and the Glyos crew. It does amaze me how far out of their way some collectors will go to trash them though.

I think these look great, I'm just waiting for a colorway I really like. I'm far more interested in stuff like this than product that companies like, say, Mattel put out, "low articulation" or not.

Funko has issues with the stuff they do know how to do, quality issues with this line were completely predictable. The real question is whether they'll make any effort to do things better.

Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation : Battle Armor Lost Predator Review Addendum - Chest Armor Paint

I'd say in person it looks exactly like the picture Poe posted. You will definitely notice it if you look for it, but I wouldn't say it really stands out on the shelf. I've seen five or six in the store and have not seen one that had any more paint than the one in the picture.

Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation : Rumored Star Wars Black 6" Wave 4 Line-up

Not sure what your point was to begin with. Is there enough demand for Star Wars product that Hasbro can massively screw up, change their approach, and get retailers to put product back on shelves? Sure, it seems that way. But their track record of late is largely poor casepacks and questionable character selection, even to the point of killing the last iteration of the 4" line. If you're invested in the longevity of the 6" line (or the collector-focused 4" line) that doesn't inspire confidence. If Hasbro has to cut back to just 5 POA 4" figures they would still be successfully keeping the line going but I can't imagine many collectors would call that a win.

When it comes to Hasbro and casepacks being a pessimist is exactly the right attitude. I generally try to give companies the benefit of the doubt, but Hasbro has made plenty of obvious errors in that area before, especially with Star Wars.

Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation : New Robo Force figures on sale this Friday from ToyFinity

Exclusivity might be a part of it, but you need to consider you're talking about operations that can't afford to have money tied up in inventory for very long so quick sellouts are critical to the line even surviving to the next release. I know with the Glyos figures there has been a lot of tweaking to find a balance between having some stock available and selling a lot of it so they have cash to work with.

Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation : Poe's Point > Thoughts on Funko ReAction

I can understand the appeal of stylized figures but I can't really see Kenner-style figures that way. Mighty Muggs, Funko Pop, Minimates, etc. are stylized. Kenner was trying to be realistic with late-70s technology, so when I look at these I see limitations and inferior product rather than style despite my memories of playing with similar figures.

Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation : Firefly confirmed for Funko Legacy 6" line (and ReAction as well)

The Hellboy line was great. The rest you mention had decent sculpts but very basic articulation by today's standards so I think it's a difficult comparison, but I suppose they were right up there with the best available at the time. Funko is obviously aiming pretty high by mentioning Hasbro but I'm afraid it's more likely they're going to end up in Jazwares territory.

Whoever decided to make bad action figures and sell them to collectors as "vintage-styled" was a genius. Who has actually been successful with their first attempt at making 6" collector figures? The Bridge Direct with The Hobbit? Is there anyone else who hasn't been a major letdown?

Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation : A few new acquisitions & SWB Darth Vader speculation

I'm not in love with SWB, but I probably would buy Vader if he has a plastic/rubber cape. If it's cloth I'm definitely passing. I haven't been impressed with even the limited cloth they have used so far and I can't imagine they'll make enough of an improvement for it to actually work with Vader. I'm afraid they will go this route though and it will ruin the figure the same way it's ruined a number of the 4" versions.
