Unless that person is indeed the love of your life, probably not as bad as losing someone you've been married with over half of your life or a parent/child.

This was the first time I voted, and I voted all Republican after this mess. I'm not saying that it was the Dem's fault why we are in this mess in the first place, i'm just saying that the Dems are clearly doing nothing but taking advantage of a crisis.

I would bet that the music which these radio stations typically air equate in quality to the president's "agenda." It's hilarious how his policies appeal to the ignorant and uneducated.

Breitbart.tv : Congressman at Town Hall: 'The Federal Government Can Do Most Anything in This Country'

Lol. Just compare the postal service to UPS. Compare private practices to our VA hospitals. Look at basically all government entities and simply analyze how pitifully old and utilized their technology is and as a result how inefficient these entities are compared to any private sector. It's basic economics. If our country goes the ways of pure governmental micromanaging, then we will be subject to vast inefficiency, deadweight loss, no incentive for innovation or any improvement whatsoever, and a level of governmental favoritism/corruption that this country has yet to ever see. I'm truly sad to witness America going back into bondage.

Breitbart.com : Top US Marine rejects Obama plan to repeal gay ban

You shouldn't be looking for a piece of ass while on duty, but people do it anyway. Pregnancy rates on ships are astonishing. This is why women traditionally weren't allowed on ships. The power of sexual attraction is much stronger than your officer telling you "we are on this mission for our nation." It creates distractions and puts people in more danger than they should be because the distractions decrease unit cohesion. My father was an officer who served on ships for years and I've heard some aweful societal changes that have happened in the military due to women serving on ships. Pregnancy alone creates an obstruction, not to mention the lesbian gangs and the new hunnies who have to sleep with officers to get protective status. And if you know anything about the military, it is always those big tough guys who talk alot that die first. Unit cohesion is alot more important than individual toughness, and these social experiments detract from that. I am pro gay and women rights in the civilian world, but the military and civilian world should not be interchangeable. They are both completely different.

You obviously know nothing about the military. I know what your argument is but you simply do not understand the consequences in a military context. I am pro gay rights in the civilian sector, but the military is an entirely different animal.

I am all for equal rights in the civilian world. But the military world is a different animal. Discipline and social cohesion are a must in the military to maximize the safety of the unit as a whole. You can have a degredation of discipline in the civilian world (in a free country), because the wondering society, on the surface, is not on a collective mission that risks the lives of others. When discipline breaks down and more obstructions and distractions are thrown in the mix, the people serving are put in more danger than they should be.

I'm pro gay rights in the civilian world, but coming from a military family, I know how bad it would be to abolish the openly gay ban. My father served years on naval ships and i've heard all the stories. The openly gay ban is designed to protect the gay people serving and the military unit that they serve in. When women were allowed on Naval ships, unexpected consequences happened. My father observed lesbian gangs forming on ships as a result of the change, and these lesbian gangs would harrass new young girls who would serve aboard, who would subsequentally sleep with officers to gain protective status. Pregnancy rates, which become a huge obstruction to the crew and mission, also go up.

I remember when I was a little kid drawing strange pictures (I played alot of Doom when I was little). I never hurt anyone though and turned out fine. Children are very imaginative. Not everyone who is exposed to some measure of violence turns our to be a columbine murderer. He is just portraying his imagination on a concept that he probably has been highly exposed to in his christian family. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this.

Breitbart.com : Young Obama backers AWOL from health care fight

I agree with you. But these other things are also factors. There are many policies we could employ to reduce healthcare costs. But it honestly seems like the Dems want to give lawyers more money in the veil of socialized medicine that seems benevolent. I don't trust them.

We should be focusing our efforts on expanding medical school output and getting rid of damaging regulations, not adding yet more regulation that will do nothing but spread out our already thin supply and add more regulatory muck to the mix of things. All this bill would do is put more money in the hands of lawyers.

I'm one of those young people (21) and I think it is disgusting how some people here are stereotyping us. I did not vote for Obama nor support any of his policies thus far. The problem with healthcare is that the supply is restricted due to various AMA regulations and standards set through the LCME. Only so many potential doctors are allowed to become enrolled through medical school a year due to strict standards set by the AMA. This artificially increases a doctor's salary in the nature of competition. This is not the biggest problem we face with healthcare however. The AMA's ridiculous restrictions regarding hospital expansion is the biggy. Many would be hospital expansion project are forced to dedicate a large portion of funding to research whether or not a particular area would affect the population of a certain species and to satisfy other regulatory demands. Our supply is restricted while our demand has shot up thanks to an aging baby boomer generation and medicare entitlements.
