Hi,Mike, I got to speak with Micheal Steele on the Bill Bennet show the other week.I wasen't impressed with the answer he gave my question.The question was, "What is with all these listening tours when we call our reps they don't listen?" He started talking about the Contract with America, which in truth was the biggest GOP bamboozel we have experienced in recent memory.I really thought he would weld the GOP into a party with a purpose, but I am sadly dissapointed.

My feelings on this are, go ahead and pass whatever you want, but if you do, you had better enforce it.To the letter.Enforcing this sort of ignorent, knee-jerk legislation would be enough of a burden to bring these people to their senses.I for one, would like to have every elected official go through an orientation class on the Constitution and be required to read The 5000 Year Leap.With a test at the end of the course.If they don't pass, they cannot propose any legislation until they do.

This is just smoke and mirrors to get us to help them to not wind up in the situation most of us are in.Within the next 6 months to a year hyperinflation will hit.I am still seeing people that believe that government can fix anything.There is too much in our economy being held up by nothing for it to endure much longer.

We are almost neighbors.I live in Georgia,sr632 was just passed to reassert our 10th Amendment rights.What is chapping me so, is that the Govt. is determined to push things to the point of no return.I can see too many parallels with history I'd really like to avoid repeating and it is really hard to understand how, if I(a not extremely formally educated person) can see what is coming, how come they don't.Or worse, they do see it and don't care.

I have contacted both senators and my congressman about issues reguarding the new food safety act v.s. private property rights.I have yet to hear back from one senator.Now the senate is considering sb787, which is about the taking of water rights on private property.I am not foolish enough to believe that this will be rejected as it should be.What part of LIFE,LIBERTY,and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS do these individuals not understand?Maybe reading the history of N.M. in the late 1800's would help.I would really like to know why they feel it is necessary to reduce us to peonage on land we have worked for generations.

No,we are not.If the ptb were concerned with something besides maintaining trade at the expense of public health our boarders would at the very least be monitored to insure that infected people and animals would not be entering the country without being quarintiened.Where is the USDA on this?They are the folks wanting every small farm monitered for disease in this country,yet sick people and animals can enter the country unimpeded.Is it any suprise that tuberculosis is increasing in this country? Remember, we had that one wiped out here years ago,now its back.

Why am I not suprised that the only house of ill repute the govt. can run is congress?I've been convinced from the begining that NOTHING is to big to fail.What part of our economy will be further damaged by this shut down? I can't see the laid off workers spending much money, but I can see the possibility of them defaulting on any debts they may owe.Or will the union that is so concerned about them support them all summer?

My husband , son and I went to a Tea Party and it was GREAT.We will attend the next one on July 4th.As for it denegrating the memory of the first one, read the history,those folks were a lot rougher than anyone I saw Wednesday.Also we diden't destroy any property.As far as the opinions of the politicians and so-called reporters,if they want me to listen to them ,it cuts both ways.Until they listen to us,I won't listen to them.

Hey y'all, I just thought you'd like to know R-calf has sent sec.Vilsack a letter with a proposal for a different system for disease prevention that is simple and less costly.I saw it posted on NoNAIS.org.I'm of the opinion that if enough people will back it, maybe they will back off on the really onerous stuff.I will be calling my reps(?) to see what happens.

milfrie, what about getting the states to declare soverinity, if we push for a bill with teeth like Colorado's where when the feds violate the Constitution, the state puts the the federal tax money in an escrow account to fund what the fed won't?
