hmmm...if I remember correctly, error 1600 is caused by the idevice not being in "special/pwned" dfu mode. try placing your idevice in pwned dfu (not regular dfu) mode & try the restore again.

Like @raja mentioned above, the only way to update your baseband is a restore to latest stock iOS; you'll then end up with the latest available baseband for your iPhone.

The Devs have posted! Please read and heed the entry at the very top of this page before doing anything - specially updating; and if the warning above does not make any sense to you, ask around first. If you don't, you might as well prepare to play the alphabet blame game on who was responsible for the "accidental" update of your iDevice. So here goes; was responsible for "accidentally" updating my device (take your pick - or pick all of them): A - Aunt B - Brother C - Cousin D - Daughter E - Everyone else except me We can go on and on until the blame lays squarely on Zeb the Zulu Zebra at the Zoo; substitute anyone (or anything) at anytime you like, it's your blame game after all. Woohooo!!!...shoutout to the Devs, Mods, GFC Crew, and to all you excellent folks who hang out on the Dev Team Blog...Have an awesome day and keep those iDevices jailbreakable!

You can restore the iDevice to stock via iTunes - it's going to be the latest iOS available for your iProduct; if you are jailbreakable, you'll have to start from scratch - hopefully SHSHs have been saved & your iThingy backed-up. Apps installed via Cydia will need to be installed one at a time unless you are running something like PkgBackup.

Re-read & understand @Toublack's post. If you have no SHSH saved, google iclarified enid 13001 - these instructions are for using a MAC, follow them very carefully; these will get you jailbroken on iOS 4.1, then install Ultrasn0w in Cydia for the unlock. About a week ago, a poster lost the ability to unlock...if only the instructions were followed. Google for the version of Sn0wbreeze needed if you have a PC. If in doubt, stop. Come back here & ask - better safe than sorry.

If this were mine, I'd go with a jailbroken & unlocked iOS 4.3.3 for now using a custom PwnageTool created ipsw. Google iclarified enid 14573 for instructions & follow them carefully. Once jailbroken, install Ultrasn0w via Cydia for the unlock. Alternatively, you can use Sn0wbreeze since you have a PC. Google for version needed. Hope this helps & good luck.
