I had this happen to me with 6.1.1 and I believed it from one of my app (edited). Did a clean restore with 6.1.1, but didn't install (edited) and it didn't happen since. Now I'm on 6.1.2 and no (edited), the weather works fine with no issue. Might be one of your app is conflicting with the weather app.

Weird. Yeah, I did a clean restore and jailbreak afterward. Do you know if I can fix it via Cydia like it fix the weather app on 6.1?

Got the same. iPhone 4S on 6.1.1. I use MyWi 6.0 from cydia and it works for tethering. The only thing I notice about 6.1.1 is that the weather app doesn't work, but the notification weather works. I also notices that I get a little better data signals with t-mobile, so it might a worth while update for you.

updated my 4S to ios 6.1.1 and it seemed I have better data on my t-mobile service. Before the update I cannot get 3G to stick inside my house and after the update I'm getting 3G data to stick with 2 bars.

For 3G just disable wallpaper and multitask which it should make it faster.

Multi tasking on iOS 4 is lame. It's more of your previous open apps than what it was advertise to be. Also, taking out wallpaper should speed up the 3G too.

Anyone feels that you have better carrier receptions after iOS 4.0 update for both 3G and 3GS? It seems I got an extra bar increased inside my work building.

I've updated my 3G to iOS 4.0 and it's not a pain at all. If you go to iclarified and follows their tutorial, you shouldn't have any problems. They have all the softwares needed for you to download to complete your jailbreak/unlock. What I really like is multi tasking and you can have different wallpaper for springboard and lockscreen. If you relies on iphone themes, I wouldn't update yet, because winterboard is not compatible with iOS 4.0.

PwnageTool preserve your old baseband, while redsnOw update to current baseband. I've just jailbreak/unlocked using redsnOW on my 3G and it was very simple, but I've lost my old BB of 4.26.08 :(. Just go with redsnOW.

I think Apple set this whole thing up and was hoping that Dev-team or Geohot got a hold of it. Later they would say that it was stolen and use the phone locator to locate Dev-team or Geohot and held them responsible. One less developer :).

3g 3.1.3 unlock? Anyway, did you try going to cydia and search for "legacy" and install the first bundle? I've used legacy bundle with my T-mobile iphone 3g/3gs and it worked perfectly. Good luck.

Sorry I didn't mention I have 3.1.2 custom firmware. Everything is good, I just did a fresh restore just like in the past and still have base band 4.26.08. It's that "apple stop signing" things that got me scared. Thanks everyone.

Thanks for the quick reply. Could I use redsnow 0.9.2 to jailbreak and ultrasnow to unlock instead? Would I loose the base band 4.26.08?

Hi, I'm confused on "apple stop signing 3.1.2". I have iphone 3G jailbroken and unlock at firmware 3.1.2 base band 4.26.08 and I just want to have clean install of firmware 3.1.2 again. Could I shift+restore using custom firmware with itunes like I did previously before this "apple stop signing 3.1.2" stuffs? Thanks.
