The flight crew managed to borrow the Nintendo and turned it off and on. Off, no wing waggle. On, wings waggled. Consistently. In cruise, this isn't really a problem, as the aircraft has lots of space beneath it to sort out the problem. near the ground, electronic devices can cause a lot of issues, because there isn't a safety margin for the plane. You can't test and prove all the devices out there are safe either, there are just too many of them. Tolkien wrote The Hobbit first, and its tone is geared towards young children, with constant author insertion into the narrative. That said, it's an enjoyable tale and should make an excellent movie - not sure about two movies, but we'll see. I'm just keen to see who is the target demographic of these two films and how Jackson balances managing that with the diehards who just want LOTR redux.
