Funny, but obviously not something to laugh about. I too lived there, and will never be back, and have never been back.

My sympathies to all who tolerate all of which they do not understand.

For those who put every one who is a felon in one single catagory, this is part of the problem... It is like saying every man is the same as the next man, every woman the same as your girlfriend or daughter or wife. Making blanket judgements adds to the biases this country does not need.

My comment here is for the real people of the world, some of who make mistakes, pay our debts to society, and never live it down.
I strongly advocate for gun control, stronger domestic violence penalties, etc, and also fighting atrocities like this one...

I agree with several comments posted here...the wife should be allowed to protect her family, be allowed to have her rights NOT violated for being married to a felon, voting rights should be for all Americans, guns do not kill people-people kill people, felons with non gun related crimes should be given their rights back after a pre-determined "clean" period of time, ...

For those who care...
I was once offered a "plea bargain" in Kitsap County court, for a crime I didn't commit, from the Prosecuting Attorney, from a felony to a misdemeanor. The judge read in the initial police report that alcohol was involved (I was sober, my ex was the drunk) and decided that he would accept my guilty plea on the felony, and not a misdemeanor, at his own discretion.

and I am soooo glad to be out of Kitsap County...the 'other' Texas...
