<description>I would respectfully disagree with your knowledgeable source. The term &amp;quot;global warming&amp;quot; is inadequate and misleading and it seems to be the one that people use to downplay/divert the discussion (Exhibit A: &amp;quot;how can there be global warming when this is the coldest day in July in the last 50 years?&amp;quot;; Exhibit B: HeidiHoe above). I recognize that we need to always clarify that it is anthropogenic climate change (but primarily because, again, some people intentionally try to create confusion when it is clear what is meant). The important point is that anthropogenic climate change has already and will continue to impact processes, ecosystems, and Earth&amp;#039;s inhabitants in a myriad of ways that are more complicated and profound than simply &amp;quot;warming&amp;quot;. </description>
