My friend has the PC version. He uses a third-party server browser to find servers in Australia. Every time he gets hundreds of results, with thousands of players. It's hard to disagree that an Xbox 360 is much cheaper and more appealing than an expensive gaming PC, so I don't think it's unreasonable to say the 360 (and PS3) versions have significantly more players—around the world, and in Australia. The only problem is we don't have a third-party server browser. We only have one way of finding a game, and it's broken. If they patched this in, it would benefit everyone. There's a way to get a local game going, by starting a full party and backing in and out until we find an empty room, and then inviting people on our friends list (this can take 30+ minutes). Once we manage to do this, we often get Americans or Europeans coming in, and getting the same nasty lag we usually get. What about the Brits and Europeans connecting to players in the US, too? They get their fair share of 1-2 bar connections, and anything below 3 is unplayable in COD4. Meh... maybe they'll fix it for COD6 (yeah right).
