I don't understand why promoting limited government intrusion qualifies me for a number of Dem polls.

Please help me understand.

I find it ironic that your avatar is of a big juicy burger. Many in this country are addicted to fast food that's rich in sodium and fat.

Does that mean we should make junk food illegal? No! Of course not.

This country is addicted to a failed War on Drugs. It's time to break the chains of this slavery that has destroyed families and enriched the Mexican drug cartels that are killing thousands of innocent civilians each year.

Welcome back to reality BeeKaay.

I think that's just it though rlr. We are all just human.

Would it be better to go through life without having to consume mind altering substances....for the most part.

But you're a perfect example of a guy who used to smoke and didn't become addicted, and now lives a good (hopefully) life without the need for any drug (legal or illegal).

I appreciate your opinion and value it. Seriously.

We're talking percentage wise. Adjusted for population.

Well, there are those who want to legalize/decriminalize all of those. I think the big difference here is that heroin, cocaine, crack, meth are highly addictive and could cause some major issues both to the users themselves and others.

Cannabis on the other hand is not going to lead to people committing violent acts in the streets, people to beat their wives/children, will not cause 1 single over dose, etc...

I do believe that we shouldn't send non violent drug abusers to jail. We should be sending them to treatment instead of spending $50,000 a year to incarcerate them.

Even though I believe we come from different places, I think we can actually find some middle ground. I honestly believe that.

I disagree. People do smoke a puff or two, just like people drink one or two beers.

There are also people who smoke an entire joint, just like people will drink 3 or 4 beers.

There are people who smoke to get stoned.

There are people who drink to get drunk.

Anybody who drives intoxicated should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Here's the interesting thing though. There are currently 15 states that allow for medical marijuana. Did you know that there are only 3 of those states that have higher vehicle fatality. All other states have seen a decrease in vehicle related fatalities.

No, you're just pissing off people who want limited government. Sorry.

I RESPECTFULLY disagree MarxTards. By keeping marijuana illegal, America is creating more evil than good.

By keeping cannabis illegal, we are fueling the Mexican cartels, criminalizing American citizens (many of whom are tax paying middle class folks), seperating families, and militarizing our police forces to deal with non violent people, etc...

Just because cannabis would be legal does not mean you have to consume it. I respect your opinion, but I do disagree.

I hope you can see this from my point of view.

While the use of the word "stoners" is a bit ridiculous, I agree with you that anybody that drives while impaired on any substance should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Yes, admittedly so. Thanks for the heads up fortis.

Regardless of peoples bias, I believe logic and reason can be used effectively in a debate format.

We'll see if I can maintain that sentiment lol
