Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : Top 10 Twitter Pet Peeves - What's Yours?

I'll be honest. I still don't understand Twitter. All the @'s and #'s. I guess I need to watch a YouTube tutorial made by some 13 year old with too much time on their hands.

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : 31DBBB Day 31: Plan the Next Steps for Your Blog

Great read Nolan. Wow, 31 days. We did it! The information I have received while being a part of 31DBBB in invaluable. I have found many great bloggers in my niche whom I would never have found had it not been for 31DBBB. Not only have I found many in my niche, but many different styles of blogging within my niche. I will continue to be watching these blogs because I believe that "iron sharpens iron". (Prov. 27:17) I need to work on a blog calendar. I do this somewhat, but not in a calendar format. And not for a month in advance. New post- It is finished - www.ronniespoon.blogspot.com

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : 31DBBB Day 30: Monitor Your Blog

1. I like analytics. I use google analytics. I agree that it is a bit tough to make sense of at times, but I like the information. I like seeing all the countries and cities that have accessed the blogs. I also like the traffic information. 2. The only real use I have made of this is counting how many countries the blog has been read in. And to determine best use of video. Not everyone is using Cable internet and has the latest browser. This helped me to decide to keep video file size small so that more people can use it. I was suprised about how many dial-up users are still out there... 3. My goal is the same - to reach people.
Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : 31 DBBB Day 29: Develop a Plan to Boost Your Blog's Profile

I can get lost in the cyber world too. Not long ago, during the 31 DBBB, I lost half a day browsing layout templates. It is easy to do. I am going to have to discipline myself. The word itself makes me feel as if I'm being sent to the principal's office. I know it may sound corny, but I may have to set a timer and walk away after the the timer dings. I try to generate new traffic through Facebook, Twitter, and email. Facebook has been the most effective so far. I also ordered some cheap business cards. (around $10 for 500) It has our ministry name, elevator pitch, and website only. We leave them at coffee shops, book stores, restuarants, etc. We just leave them at different places we visit even when we travel. Business Card info (imagine very contemporary style card with our logo banner) Speaking Grace Online Church on your time www.speakinggraceonline.com Review post is up today at www.ronniespoon.blogspot.com

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : 31DBBB Day 27: Hunt for Dead Links

This seems like a daunting task! ugh! But a task none the less... I don't have to answer the questions. I have never done this, yet I am the first to get frustrated when I find a broken link. Maybe we, as 31DBBB bloggers, could notify each other by email or some other source of contact other than a comment if we find a dead link in another's blog. Not just today....
Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : 31DBBB Day 26: Improve Another Blog

1. I have gotten some great feedback from "been there, done that, got the T-shirt" bloggers. It has been invaluable to me! 2. Not sure that I have... 3. I have always tried to be positive, but now I see that is not always the best. The best advice I have been given is comments that point out faults that can be corrected, or advice on trying something new. I need to build better relationships with other bloggers. When I was pastoring full-time, I didn't really see the need. I saw my target audience at least weekly. Through 31DBBB, I have learned that there is a whole community of bloggers and communities within that community. I need to find my place and build relationships within that community. Post for today: Are you a complainer? www.ronniespoon.blogspot.com

I am awful about starting discussions on my blog. I think the first time that I have truly done so is when we were asked to do an opinion blog. I do my best to get around to others blogs and comment. I think that what keeps each of us on any given blog is subjective. Do we like the subject, writing style, etc. This series has helped me tremendously. Thank you Paul and OurChurch.,com for the opportunity! Are you David as who he was or what he became to be? http://ronniespoon.blogspot.com/2010/06/im-only-p...

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : 31DBBB Day 24: How To Use a Magazine To Improve Your Blog

1) I have learned from magazines that the title of an article is important. The title itself can bring you to open the magazine or set it back down. 2) I have gotten some good ideas from the "Penticostal Evangel" that the Assembly of God puts out weekly. I also like "Leadership". 3) I occasionally look at "Charisma" online, but prefer hard copies of magazines and rarely visit their sites. So my homework is to look at magazine websites and see how they do things online and see if there is anything that I can learn from them. Today's post is a personal one - "Saying goodbye to my next door Mom". http://ronniespoon.blogspot.com/2010/06/saying-go...

Christian Web Trends Blog by OurChurch.Com : 31DBBB Day 21: Breathe Life Into an Old Post

1) Fairly new blogger and a "redo" is not something I am interested in. Maybe revisiting a topic, but not rewriting a blog. When preaching, this is certainly not something I would try... 2) The only opinion that has changed for me is that people actually do read my blog. I am amazed at the feedback. At "fellowship" meetings, other ministers will comment on my blog, even though they never comment online. 3) Never updated and probably never will. New post for today: What memorials do you have? http://ronniespoon.blogspot.com/2010/05/what-memo...
