Maybe KATU can investigate the ACTUAL facts of where donated funds really go when a bank account is set up.

Also, check the internet, it's amazing what you can find....AUTHOR: If the funeral home said they wouldn't do anything for him unless they paid them $2000, then why would they have had several viewing for the victim last week? And if that's the case wouldn't he have to be embalmed first, well who paid for that, huh? Hmmmm.....Things are just beginning to make sense now.

Okay, let me first start by saying that this part of the story does NOT pertain to the tragic events that lead to Mr. Pine's death. That in itself was a horrible tragedy. But, I can't hold my breath about this error of a supposed "news" article...First of all, if indeed the "Mortician" (which by this I assume to mean the Funeral Director) stated that they wouldn't do anything unless they received $2000, then why did the author of this article not include said persons' name in this article. Sounds to me like the reporter is trying to embellish the actual facts to make the article more "newsworthy". Secondly, something sure seems fishy to me about the "family" almost outright asking for random caring people to BUY each of the pallbearers an outfit, complete with shoes, and also pointing out their sizes.Does that not seem a little strange to anyone? And lastly, again maybe it's just me...after seeing the victim's family on TV being interviewed as well as reading articles about a bank account being set up now for supposed "costs", i'm seriously disturbed. I personally know darn well there are funds, both county and state for such victim's of horrific crimes funeral/burial costs. Why is it that I feel like NONE of that account money will ever see the funeral home/cemetery, and will most likely go straight into the less the low income pockets of this victim's family of "interesting" characters. There is NO such thing as a funeral home keeping a body "HOSTAGE" for money owed. That is a lie.Fact dictates that, look it up, or call the county. Before the rest of you folks jump the gun and run to Wells Fargo with your check books, look into this a little deeper, check the facts, and not only believe just the reporters of these articles (which seemed to have embellished quite a bit of the REAL facts) , but also the people involved, and maybe an ulterior motive. I'M JUST SAYING....SERIOUSLY NOW.
