Yes, I used Pinnacle Ultimate, but I shot it in HD and exported is iPod Good Quality to keep the file size down. It could look even better, but it would be a huge file. I'll have the phone at CyberSalon next week and you can play with it then if you want.

Yeah, from what I've heard and witnessed though, the demo phones in the stores are really bad. You need to play with a live one first. It's fine most of the time, only lags here and there, but nothing like the store one. I couldn't even get to any features on that demo model. I love the camera on this thing! You can see photos taken with it over there ------>

DCAMD : MIA online students: why bother?

My position is that our students are adults and they make their own choices, albeit some not so good. So I don't drop students after the initial 2 weeks no show period (1 week for 8wks/5wk courses). I send weekly announcements and bi-weekly emails to students. In the email to students who are not actively participating, I first offer assistance and then remind them of their responsibilities to drop a class they no longer care to participate in. I give them detailed instructions about the process and remind them that I will not drop them for lack of participation. It is their responsibility, and if they don't get busy or drop themselves they will receive a failing grade. When I sign off on my 45th day roster, I count all students still on the roster. If the student who is not participating hasn't dropped, I sign off on him/her as being in the course. It is not my place to say the student will not start participating tomorrow. S/he paid the tuition. There's no refund. If the student is still on the roster, s/he still has access to the materials paid for and the opportunity for some education. If we drop them, we take their money and they get nothing even if they change their mind later. I like to leave the door open and try to encourage students to make their own decisions about their education. I don't think it's fair to take their money and then kick them out.

Alisa Cooper.com : Yes We Did! My Perspective on the Election

I hear ya. The Mormons kicked in a huge amount of money for the Yes on 102 campaign. I wish I could find the article I read that talked about it. The funny part is they identified Mormon donors on name recognition alone because when you donate you don't have to designate religious affiliation. So tell me this wasn't about religion. What happened to religious freedom?

Alisa Cooper.com : Straight People Just Don't Get It

Thanks for all your comments. I think we all make some good points. Let's just hope people will listen and consider others lives besides their own. That's the biggest problem I have is that my personal life is not anyone's business, so stay out of it.

DCAMD : Amazon Kindle

I never did understand the hype behind the Kindle. I was not interested from the get go, but it wasn't because I prefer a book with pages I could sniff (That's weird, Dev). It's because it wasn't advanced enough yet. I want the words to just appear in front of my eyes so I don't have to hold anything. I love to read in bed, but it's so hard to hold the book. Maybe I should lift weights to strengthen my arms. Okay, so anyway. Apparently the Kindle is online always because it uses the mobile broadband from I think AT&T. Now that's kind of cool, but I'll just carry my laptop thank you.
