He already took down the old Left. That's the point. That's where all those New Left groups you mentioned came from; they were spawned by Soros' takedown of the Democratic party to support the rebirth into the Progressive party. (See LC's earlier post "Media Matters vs Citizen Journalists: Who Will Win in the End" on Big Government for the entire Soros history). It was in fact an intentional takedown; it occurred starting in 1994 and took hold for the 2004 Congressional elections. It's all been well documented. It's also covered in part in this post - you may have missed it. Review the line that reads: "Having driven the Democratic Party to the brink of bankruptcy, Soros then offered to save it."

Gee how fascinating. Maybe if Media Matters, or you, actually READ this post, you'd see that the author has written about that IN HER OWN POST. You Media Matters hacks are such morons. Can't you even read? Starts in paragraph 4: "Here at Big Journalism, we’ve even referenced his posts on a few occasions, especially in circumstances when a conservative perspective was so very needed." and continues from there. Hypocrisy? I think not. Ignorance on your/Media Matters' part? Yes.
