The gameplay just... Isn't my thing... DOTA always looked like an RTS except the AI was the commander and you were the "hero" with a mind of its own (so controls were a little more focused and a lot more... boring.) The story is uninteresting as it's basically (and admittedly) an excuse plot, the areas leave nothing to the imagination (don't want sandbox-level exploration, but want to discover unique landscapes as I go) and the matches look and sound super repetitive. The developers are also lazier for balance then Blizzard; "oh if someone is op you can just ban the champion, we don't want to think about how to fix him (or others) and don't care if no one is able to play as him ever. we can pass it off as an 'interesting metagame aspect!'" The reason I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't care about the game is because I'm shunned by EVERYONE I know who plays it, just cause I don't take an interest in it (and don't care when people blab on about it.) I even get insulted by the same people for still playing WoW (which they quit because, and they admit, they're terrible at) or some other game.
