I had questioned Jany's ratings in a previous post and promply buried under numberous thumbs down. A day later HGTV decided to close the results to fans.

Personally I view bashing and flaming as petty.
Antonio's design for his own home was what he wanted
and was not subject to judging.
I did find it amusing to watch, though my taste in design runs
more traditional. But he seems to give the client what they want.
It will be interesting to see where his show goes.

I am happy I didn't have be a judge on this one season. Davids comments as well as the judges
are pretty "spot on " as they say.
I am sure we will see more of Dan, some Net Work will pick up this very talented young gent up.
Dan has a great eye for color and design, and of course is pleasing to look at.
Antonio sees beyond design with space and relation in his head. True, he needs to come up too speed on those sublte accents. He is more of the diamond in the rough, thus his show is going to bring a different caliber of functional design near to engineering, then we are use to seeing.
All in all both have earned a place in their profession.

With any huge purchase, such as a car or pergola, law states you are given at least 24 hours to back out and null the contract, the most you would loose is your deposit. So I question why this was still built ?
funny how the home owners really didn'tsee the pergola as the big WOW factor they had hoped, they seemed happier with the water fall working again. Tori didn't step up which is true, but her choice in furniture was also an issue with the judges, yet given the size of the area and time factor allowed, I think they did their best, for who has time to research products and pricing to get the best bang for the buck, the blame if any, falls with the producers of the show.
