Perhaps because they're cheaper unlocked and are not hard to unlock...?

My issue comes from buying a phone and not knowing it was 5.12 until I received it. Thus, my question. I supppose I'll just do what the guy I purchased it from did and tell someone it's 5.11 and unlockable and just sell it as such. Oh well right?

Thanks for your wisdom, Pikachu.

So I apologize if this is one of many identical questions; wading through these multi-lingual comments is difficult.

I bought a 3G with the 5.12 baseband already on it and I need to unlock it for use on T-Mobile. This post gives me the impression that a fix is underway for 5.12 baseband users to unlock their phones but some of these comments give the impression that a fix will NOT be released. All I want to know is a general ball park of when I can unlock my 5.12 phone; 1 week, 1 month, 4 months?

If a moderator or dev-team member could clarify on if a fix is being developed that would be great. I don't want to hold off for a 5.12 baseband unlock if there won't be one released for the next several months.

Thanks for answering and double thanks for all your hard work.

All the best,

Z

My iphone is using 2.2. Can I use the newest Quickpwn with 0.9.8 to unlock the phone for multiple carrier use? If not, how do windows users unlock their 3g iPhones?
