I've seen you bring up the same idea in your reply to several posters, which I would paraphrase thusly: "Activists focus on the issues they find to be most important, and therefore anything they don't focus on is something they don't find to be important." I disagree with this idea, mainly because (as you said) there is limited time and there are limited resources. You are not considering that a political activist may be spending their time and efforts not where they are most concerned, but where they are most effective. For example, I feel that ending human trafficking is more important than animal welfare, although I care about both issues. As a person without a background in detective work, social work, or a passport, any attempt to stop human trafficking on my part would be futile. Money is all I have to offer, and I have very little of that. However, there are many things I can do locally to stop animal abuse and to provide pets with loving homes. Therefore, I am more inclined to devote myself to the issue of animal welfare.

How am I misinterpreting what you said? If Gaga thinks that Target should not give money to politicians who are anti-Sharia, and wants Target's money to go to candidates who defend Sharia, then she is pro-Sharia. You are arguing that these are things she does want and think, although you do not know her personally and she has never made a public statement about Sharia. I'm getting the exact same meaning from this statement that everyone else did, as you can see from the post directly above my initial post.

Ron Paul loves America more than anyone, so it's absurd to say he's anti-American. And he's a "vicious anti-Semite" for wanting to cut foreign aid? Newsflash: despite the fact it's less than 2% of our federal budget, foreign aid is the #1 thing Americans want to cut. You don't have to hate Jewish people in order to disagree with Israel's actions, and you don't have to be a racist in order to deny someone money. As an aside, the term 'Semitic' or 'Semites' would apply to Palestinians as much as it would Israelis. They're the same people, with the same genetic background, just a different religion. Think about that and realize how much of a difference intolerance makes.

Maybe you do find that hard to believe, but that doesn't make it untrue. I gave some very serious thought on whether or not to have an abortion, but once my mind was made up and the deed was done, I felt one thing and one thing only: relief. I took note of the article's title, but it could've just as easily been called "28 Things People Who are Pro-Choice Said and How I Feel About Them" which would've been a lot more neutral. However, intolerantfox isn't exactly known for neutrality, is she?

Do you buy products made in China? Sure you do. We all do. We have no choice. But given a realistic option between two businesses, one of which gives campaign donations to anti-gay politicians and one of which sponsors pro-gay rights politicians, leftists are more likely to choose the latter. You will never hear someone on the left claim that the owner of a store should be able to exclude black people if he wants to, but yet I've heard that statement from multiple libertarians.
