Breitbart.tv : Newt: If Mitt Loses Michigan, He's Done

If US opened drilling, and OPEC cut production to sustain pricing... OPEC will fall apart. Members have often violated quotas because they need or want the money. We have little to fear on that front.

Big Government : Wednesday Open Thread: Romney Edition

We knew Mittens had New Hampshire all along. It is the one he was sure of. No news here. Except if he did not pull it... then he would as well roll up and quit. Mitt owns NH. So he gets what... 13 out of 1120 for this? I wouldn't start the victory party just yet.

Big Government : Boeing Cuts Deal with Union; NLRB Drops Complaint

I would have much rather Boeing had stood their ground. It would appear to me that they were better representing the workforce than the Union was. The Unions will be inspired by this, and the NLRB is a union puppet. The two of them will continue to trample the rights of the Individual who now has no voice in the matter.

Big Government : Typo or Torpedo? Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand Proposes a Bill to Legalize Insider Trading

Insider trading is theft. Plain and simple. If you are working on legislation that will affect a stock value, and enter the market, or if you manipulate the market... and turn a "profit" from privileged information, you have effectively stolen from someone else who was not aware of the information you held. Legalize theft for Congress? Are you nuts? Set the SEC on them, strip them of every ill gotten profit and throw them in jail like they would do to me.

Big Government : Will Gov. Perry Risk the Election for a Tuition-for-Illegals Ponzi Scheme?

I'm sorry everyone is so hung up on this. If the Federal Government actually controlled the border, this problem would not exist. Texas is nearly 30% Hispanic. Perry lives in the real world. He is dealing with the hand he was dealt. If he is going to be stuck with illegal Immigrants and the Federal Government WILL NOT DEPORT them, what do you expect to be the solution??? Make the best of it. Those which are bright and can do well, help them. You are stuck with them anyhow. Arrest them, turn them over to ICE, and they just let them loose. So... make lemonaid. We need Doctors, Engineers and Degreed Professionals anyway.. Or should we just stamp them down into a life of menial slave labor??? Perry is doing the only intellegent thing he can in the situation he is in. And with a 30% Hispanic population, he would have never been elected were he hanging every illegal out of the nearest tree. Be realistic. Deal with the problem. File a lawsuit to force the Federal Government to follow their Constitutional duties, secure the border, then work on the rest.

Big Government : FAA Shutdown Because Dems Want to Protect Pork

They are screaming a billion dollars in losses.. Those are a billion dollars in SAVINGS!!! If the industry retains the savings, they are STILL savings. This is a small step in the right direction. Those employees, if even employable in the private sector may move on the generate wealth by providing products or services of value, and move them from the overhead/liability side of the ledger to the asset side. That pays more than double on the books. We are not suffering a bit from the loos of thousands who are largely bureaucrats whose primary products are red tape, taxes and debt.

Big Government : Our Elected Officials on the Debt Ceiling: They’re All Losers

" PLEASE Mr. Coyote, don't throw me in the briar patch!! " said the rabbit. The rabbit was thrown in the briars.. and happily hopped away. There is no ten year budget. It is a trap. The debt ceiling is the de-facto balanced budget law. No increase... no new spending. That is why they are going crazy. As the current budget projections are built as castles in the sky... we have to get back to the ground. We need a real Balanced Budget Amendment. We need to cap debt ceiling increases at 5% of current levels and give them a life-span of only one year. We need to spend less than we did last year. All else is the briar patch.

Breitbart.com : Boehner withdraws from debt talks with Obama

Why would we even want to see the Democrat plan? We are dealing from the position of power, and there is no need to invite a bad deal. I'd say, offer CCB II with no debt ceiling raise, and let them choose. At least they would have a choice to make them feel better.

Breitbart.com : Obama allows for possibility of US default

If there is a default, it is needless and totally unnecessary. I believe Obama would default out of spite, rather than shut down a single agency, or even cut one back. I also believe this is our single best chance to get a balanced Federal budget. If Boehner caved on the 2011 to lay it on them in the 2012... it is his time to shine. If the Republicans cave this time... they will lose all credibility.

Good guys don't come in gangs. A ten year plan does not fit in a one year budget. The government hasn't been laying off a lot lately. Balanced Budget is our only realistic chance of limiting spending.
