Look I ride an atv and I ride at 1:45am or pm or whenever. But I also make sure I have a brain bucket on. I also make sure the kid and wife have the proper gear on. These stories just create an avenue for everyone to start saying they are dangerous. When they are used responsibly they are alot of fun for the whole family. I do feel sorry for the family but this is a prime example of why you should treat these machines with respect.
