I was expecting some cheap laughs and maybe a quick friendship lesson, what I got was a very sobering story, a great lesson and a knot in my stomach

I don't exactly dislike them, but I by far prefer snakes, turtles, those types of animals

I probably have been a pony/ talked to them halfway through a dream, apples cause really weird dreams.
Last night I had a dream about fixing a village, but the villagers wanted to leave because the beavers under the dam were being too loud. Stuff happened and everything kept changing and then my dad woke me up before I could figure out what the beavers wanted.

A thought came to me just now

In Equestria there is a class system that seems very obvious to anyone who thinks about it very much

Unicorns are at the top, with their magic making them have the ability to do just about anything the other ponies can

Pegesi are in the middle, with their flight and weather magic being, for lack of a better phrase in my sleep deprived state, neat

Earth ponies are at the bottom, with no clear abilities and only vaguely mentioned "Earth maintaining" abilities

(Alicorns skipped for obvious reasons)

This means that Earth ponies may gradually become unhappy with the way things are going now. Given Equestria's society that seems similar to a mixture of the last two centuries of ours and the recent rise in magical technology (most notably Flim and Flam's apple cider machine) meaning normal Earth pony jobs may become obsolete.
Over time earth ponies may become the "peasants" of the system, with no chance of advancing past pegesi or unicorns, and may begin to develop their own technology (similar to Pinkie's and Cheese Sandwich's cannons and whatnot) once the rise of technology has advanced enough, the Earth ponies may have a revolution against the princesses and Canterlot.
In this hypothetical conflict pegesi will have to take a side, either stick with the kingdom (princessdom?) which they have lived in and loved for so long, or stand up against the unicorns who have an advantage against them and risk being betrayed by the earth ponies in the future.

Just a thought.
