After a few failed attempts and a few hours of troubleshooting, your post was the key. Thank you. I prefer the Dev Teams P-tool over Blakra1n. Must kill iTunes helper.

For me, this happened due to the phone not going into DFU all the way/perfectly. Find a DFU video online you can follow to get the times exact. Or, open your old Pwn tool to use it to get to DFU only maybe. Good luck.

I got an error the first time. Tried again and it's working. I used the DFU tab on the Pwnage tool the second time..... Not sure if it made a difference or not. The first time (error) iTunes recognized my phone as a iPod. Second time as an iPhone.

Saurik did update the Home Page with "Upgrading to 3.0 Read This >" I can't notice any other changes. There is a version number in small print @ the bottom of the home page but I've never noticed it before, so I don't know if it has changed.........

BossPrefs 3.0.1 is in Cydia already. Change log states to use SBS though because it was a "rewrite from scratch" and has "many limitations now though........" They'll get it up to speed. I prefer BossPrefs too.
