Agree with most of what you say, except "Loser Pays". We do need tort reform but everyone should be allowed their day in court. Some fee should be imposed but I don't trust lawyers. Loser Pays would tilt the system toward the corporations. Corporations need to be held to standards too. Remember the Pinto or Love Canal? Corps will do not always do what is best for society and society needs a reasonable recourse.

I have not asked and I will not ask you to pay my bills. I created them and I will pay them. My life is my responsibility not yours as your life is your responsibility and not mine. I will gladly help people who are trying to help themselves but I believe I have the right to chose who and when I will help. I believe that both Clinton's and Mr Wonderful Al Gore said the same thing but President Clinton was unwilling to do anything about it. Do some research before you make such foolish statements.

They are elected to represent the people who elect them. This should mean that sometimes they have make tough decisions, voting for what is right not what is popular. I do not think many of them really care what is right or what their constituents want. Most of our Congressmen and Senators do not even know what is best for the country because they do not live in the real world. We elected them to represent us, not their friends or parties. They are not doing that so let's get rid of them. Find a good person to support and help them get elected. If we get enough new people we stand a chance to get term limits passed.

I did not say they were doing what they were elected to do. I said if they were doing what they were elected to do. Congress is there as a check/balance against the judiciary and executive branches of government. Currently they are not a check or balance to anyone but themselves.

We have a say in what they get paid, elections, that is they only way to fire them. They are suppose to work for us but we do not hold them accountable. We just keep putting the old people back in office. So we have to take part of the blame.

I have 2 republican senators and a republican representative and I will not vote for any of them ever again.

You misunderstood, I meant to sa if they really took care of the nations business the way the founders intended then they are underpaid. I agree with all of your comments and I am a proponent of term limits.
