The moment it was no longer something that only a religious leader could perform, and you need a certificate from the State to determine that it is a legal marriage. A judge can now officiant a marriage, along with your next door neighbor if they so wish to do the online certification. It is now a right.

Apparently I worded my post wrong??? I find it deplorable that we can vote on a citizen's rights. That being said, I know how I'll be voting...I will be voting for marriage equality...the fact that I'm even voting on this issue bothers the heck out of me. It's not to be voted on.

It is something celebrated across many different languages in many different ways. I can't afford daycare...does that mean I shouldn't have had a child? Do you have kids that have to attend daycare? It's massively expensive! I'm fortunate enough to have family to help take care of my little one. She has 4 children, and a single mother. Everything is not in our control...we don't know the state of her partner who helped create these children (alive, dead, etc.). I really dislike how people, like yourself, are so quick to pass judgement instead of help out those less fortunate then ourselves. That's why these programs are out there, to help people stay on their feet and get through it all. One day, you may need the assistance you have paying in to...Oh, and if she's working, she's paying in to the assistance she's getting back.

My parents were awesome, but I was too trusting...I learned that the hard way from life. Sometimes, people have to learn the hard way, and won't take others advice or teachings, especially teenagers (who think they're invincible). Unfortunately, their experience was a lot more traumatizing then a 1 car, car accident, but they did the right thing by getting to the hospital and reporting the assaults, so they listened at some point.

There's really not enough information in this article. Were they already staying there at the hotel with their family? What circumstances led them to that room? Were they forced in to the room? A lot of unanswered questions, and not enough information. Regardless, what happened to them, should not have. Some people are still very trusting; others are not, due to these sorts of circumstances that happen in their lives. Don't blame the victims, please...that's never going to be the right thinking.

Many times the breed of the dog is not reported properly, and the LEO's and Animal Control just lumps them in to the "pit-bull type". When you lump a bunch of breeds together, of course you're going to have higher statistics towards "fatality attacks".

2 dogs will always be more dangerous then 1. 3 dogs will always be more dangerous then 2. It doesn't have to do with the breed, it has to do solely with the larger the pack, the more dangerous. Pit Bull statistics that you may have looked at are also very skewed. We had our neighbors visited by some LEO's, and they thought the neighbors American Bulldog was a Pit Bull. Nope, I own the lab/Pit-Bull mix...they had no idea and had to be corrected. A lot of the reason these statistics are skewed is due to the fact that the breed is incorrectly identified, and really there is only one breed of Pit-Bull, the American Pit-Bull Terrier, which was created back in the 1800's for fighting in the pits when it was considered good ole boy fun. Then there's the Staffordshire Bull Terrier & American Bull Terrier that are NOT pit-bulls, but constantly lumped in to the pit-bull category. Those breeds were ALWAYS considered too small to fight in the pits, and were never trained for dog fighting. Plus, if you train a dog to fight other dogs, the dog is 10 times more likely to go after another dog then a person (if you want to argue semantics on the fact that the dog was bred to fight and attack). With that said, Breed Specific Legislation will always be fought, and with good reason. It's not the breed that is the problem. If it was, then once you annihilated this breed, then you'd be going after German Shepherds (after all, they've been taught by Law Enforcement to attack PEOPLE), Dobermans (Guard Dogs for the junk yard stigma), Huskies, Rottweilers, and the list goes on. Those screaming for breed bans will never stop at the Pit-Bull, they'll just continue until only ankle biters are left, and personally, I'd rather have my 130 lb. lap dog that gives babies & kittens kisses, then a 10 lb. ankle biting monster of a chihuahua.

He's now 5 years old, and yes, it happened when he was a puppy (about 6 mos. to a year old). If you nip it in the bud when it first starts to show, you won't have any problems in the future.
