I agree with you Rapscallion. Ben Hur is definitely one of the greatest. Maybe I didn't look hard enough but I didn't see this one air this year. I'm sure it was on somewhere, but after the Easter dinner, it was nowhere in the listings...
Ah yes, I remember that show too. "Our House" it was called. Good one... And my current perceptions of Shannen have now changed as I realize during 90210, etc. she was most likely being picked on by all the liberals surrounding her on a daily basis. They have a tendency, to say the least, of getting under one's skin.
Excellent article Ace! I too remember seeing the Norm MacDonald skit on SNL, and from that point on seeing Letterman in a different light. He also became more noticeably bitter after Leno, and not he, took over for Carson. His funniest moments only came during his anniversary shows where they'd take 10 years of material to get about an hour's worth of "laughs." I never really thought he was very funny, and now see him as a complete loser.
