The lottery is money is spent mainly on school structures, such as new buildings and Rowan county has already spent their allotted amount for awhile. They used it to pay for the bonds that built the new schools and the add ons to existing schools. New funds for Rowan county will not be available for many years.

I think this idiot was just as involved as the other guy. He should not be allowed to bargain for a lesser charge. They should both be facing death and not something as "nice" as an injection but being beat to death with a baseball bat. So what that the old man was selling his pills, that is no reason to be murdered and in such a gruesome way. Anyone that can beat some one to death should never have the chance to be back on the street.

MMA Are You a believer? If so why are you judging? I thought one of the basis that Christianity was founded on was not to judge? Remember "judge not lest you be judge"? Oh I forgot how many "Christians" forget that little scripture when they are "throwing stones".

Also I ask you the same question you asked about the 300 hundred books, How do you know that the Bible was translated right?

The point that PGW was trying to make about the Catholic church is they picked and chose what THEY wanted in the bible, mere men did this not God. Further more there is historic proof that the Catholic church changed many of the Scriptures that are in the Bible now, to benefit them and the church.

The Bible, The Bible, THE BIBLE! I get so tired of hearing about the bible. I must admit it is an interesting read and has a lot of good history. But we can't forget that it was written by men and is their observations of their lives. The bible has been translated and changed so much who really knows what it originally stated. Their is historical proof that the Catholic church changed many scriptures to fit their needs. There are also several "lost" scriptures that have been found recently that someone in the church decided didn't need to be in the Bible. What was wrong with these? Where these "words of God" not good enough?

I agree with GC religion doesn't equal morality. Also don't forget in the bible it states that God gave man free will. So ultimately it comes down to each person deciding what is wrong or right morally rather god is in the picture or not.

While you are applauding people on the board then you so also applaude John Blair for standing up for everyones right to pray the way they want including the christians in the room.

For the person that posted about religion taken out of school, this is why, because not only Christians go to public school but Jews,Muslin,Buddhist, ect go to public school and only having christian prayers everyday in school reinforces the thought to children that "only"Christianity is right and other religions(maybe theirs) is wrong. This is not right, fair or what our country was founded on.

Also don't tell this is what's wrong with our country. People in general is what's wrong with our country and their religious affiliations have nothing to do with it. Don't tell me that just because a person goes to church on Sunday and spouts bible verses that they are a good person, how many "good, religious" people have we seen have a downfall?

It seems to many "Christians" forget two of best verses when they are spouting their choices on verses....."Judge not lest you be judged" and "here who be without sin be the first to cast a stone"

I totally agree with you. I know I felt better knowing there was a trained officer in the middle schools, who could not only handle the students but any unruly "outsider" who might decide to come in and cause trouble.

I also wonder who is going to monitor all these cameras? The staff at schools are already short, are they going to pay someone to sit and monitor these cameras during the day to watch for any disturbances?

I also just noticed that there is two different WK, one with an underscore in the name and one without and there are two different pics for the different names. Are these suppose to be two different posters or one in the same? Also what is weirder is Whigkid (with no underscore) is following whig_kid (with underscore). Are they doing this to keep up with what the "other" personalities are doing? Just wondering, you know curious minds want to know.
