Old Marine, in reference to your 'get some of the more well to do conservatives to open their wallets' comment; Glenn Beck just said (on Mondays show) that this site crashed because of 500 hits per second. If each of us 'less well to do' gave just $10 each to OUR cause (being the principles and values of this site) we could raise $1,800,000 per hour. (granted, that was a high water mark). We need to depend on ourselves and each other. Americans have depended on the 'fatcats' for a while-- just look how well thats working for us!) A 'spin off' of this site should be a true grassroots PAC to collect our many small donations and promote ONLY candidates that agree AND ABIDE BY the principles that all of us 912er's share. Just a thought...

I agree Glenn. There is MORE than enough blame to go around among our leadership over the last 20+ years. Can I suggest we "912er's" simply click the 'thumbs down' button on a comment that isn't focused on an honest debate of solutions and move on to the next comment. Call me crazy (I 'de-stress' with M&M's too) but could we take all this a notch higher? I'm thinking a "912PAC"... I know it' sounds like I'm getting on the political side, but, if we use this new found energy to focus first on the state elections in 2010 to convince people not to vote for those that dont swear to uphold the values and principles we all agree on we could truely make a change---funny, in this case "change" is returning to the founding fathers vision...

Amen, unite2day - this foolishness has gone beyond 'red' and 'blue' or 'donkeys' and elephants'... we're down to NEEDING to talk about the survival of America as we grew up knowing it. We need to join together in order to KEEP a priviledge that we were blessed with at birth -- our American life--- And to maintain that we NEED to promote OUR princilples and values (or we'll call them Glenn Beck's 9 and 12) ((kudos to Glenn for awakening the 'sleeping giant' in all of us!))
