Pure tosh, the article actually says that the panel of politicians were ducking the questions regarding Islam. Gay campaigners have worked tirelessly against countries which still execute gay people but theres not much that they can do whilst sat in a different country thousands of miles away. They wield no real intercontinental power, the most they can do is send an angrily worded letter or demonstrate. Its the politicians who wont tackle the issue of Islamic homophobia, a lot of gay people are already well aware of the issue.
