so my question is if i update to 2.2.1 and i dont need yellowsnow then i can still jailbreak my iphone using quickpwn 2.2 or will i need to wait until theres a new quickpwn

i have an iphone 2g running on 2.2 firmware and when ever i open cydia it takes a longtime to open because its: "reloading data" so pretty much the same thing happens when i try to download anything or update anything, alsowhen i open cydia it tells me to update my firmware to iphone os 2.x using pwnage tool and saythat im currently running on os 1.x , WHAT SHOULD I DO ?!?!? pleaseeeee help
