Breitbart.com : Immigration debate shakes US to the core

No, the *rest* of us are NOT immigrants. The immigrants from my family came to Newfoundland (New York) in 1650. Saying "we are all immigrants" is just an attempt to make newcomers feel welcome, but it is inaccurate. Immigrants are first generation to America. Immigrant - one who comes into a country to become a permanent resident. The succeeding generations are native born, not immigrants.

If you are comparing the increase in the national debt of the Republicans to the Democrats over the past 30 years, you must consider that the Republicans were in office for 22 of those years. Assuming your numbers are correct and that the national debt increased by $8 trillion under the Republicans and $1.6 trillion under the Clinton administration (only 8 years with a Democrat for president), you must also note that the Gulf War took place under Bush 1, and the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars took place under Bush 2, while the Clinton years were without war costs. Comparing 22 yrs. of Republican administrations with 8 yrs. of Democratic administrations shows the Republicans overall faired much better even with the wars - averaging $3.6 billion per year increase for Republicans compared to $5 billion per year increase for Democrats. In all fairness, these numbers are meaningless given the conditions that existed, and the way that data is portrayed. Stats are used to persuade people to one's point of view and are easily manipulated to make them say what you want them to say, as I just did, and as you did in your post. :-) It was meaningless for you to compare the increase in national debt of Republican vs. Democrat years, and it was meaningless for me to show an average increase per year, though the war costs factored in do give weight to my conclusion. Truthfully, I have a historical perspective and the Republicans manage money much better than do the Democrats. Of course there are other variables. Congress controls the pursestrings and the party in power in Congress affects the outcome.

Of all the bad that has come out of this Administration, this is the worst. To teach children such perversion is unforgiveable. Sodom and Gommorah couldn't have been any worse. Knowing this brings me to tears.

Breitbart.com : New Obama plans: \'spend our way out\' of downturn

Why do we trust these people in D.C. to run this government when they can't even run their own personal finances? Many, have cheated on their taxes. Most have absolutely no business experience. Most have never met a payroll. President Obama didn't even pay his student loans back until more than a decade after leaving Harvard. And, now, these people are managing trillions of dollars. That is like putting a 3 year old in charge of family investments.

Think about this: Former Defense Sec. Wm. Cohen commenting on the Ft. Hood killings by Hasan, said that the U.S. Military had actively recruited Muslims for the military and may have to rethink what they are doing. Many of our leaders in government could be considered traitors when you see their recklessness in making decisions that compromise the safety of all Americans. But, then, the American people voted these people in. We have met the enemy, and he is us.

"I vote that we declare Islam an illegal government having it's own laws (Sharia) and a militia - close down the Mosques - deport all who wish to remain an Islamic to Syria or some other God forsaken place." ___________ Islam is a destructive force wherever it goes, and we must fight it as an ideology to be rejected. That is key: rejection not acceptance. Your idea of deportation may be appealing to those who do not want to deal with it, but the next group that would be forced out of the country would be Christians as they are demonized by the media, constantly....then, all of a certain political persuasion would be forced out.....it would never end.

"And they will call evil good, and good evil." I think of that verse often when I think of Islam and the murders in the name of their god. They think they are doing God a service. In fact, the god of Islam is satan, the god of destruction. Satan is described in Scripture as the one who comes to "kill, steal, and destroy." That is exactly what Islam does.

True. The thing is most Americans do not see it as a war of ideology. Americans have only known religion as peaceable/good. Islam is too radical for them to understand. When an American hears "God" and "prayer" they think of a God who is like a kind father, and prayer is a request from our Heavenly Father. Allah is not the God of the Hebrews or Christians. Allah is a god of war. Obedience to him is "taking up the sword against the aggressor." Americans want to accept Islam because we love freedom of religion, but Muslims use that freedom to spread Islam an oppressive evil force for world domination. The teaching of Islam is that no other religion be allowed to exist. Islam is about an earthly kingdom where only Allah is worshipped. Everyone is opposition must be killed.

No matter how much the Imam denies it, this is the end result of the Islamic teaching of the Qur`an. The ultimate obedience to Allah is to "kill the infidels." All Muslims believe this teaching. Some act on it making it a destructive force wherever it goes. In the week of Oct. 24-30, 2009, there were 14,340 Islamic terrorists attacks worldwide. Since the inception of Islam in the 8th century there have been countless millions killed in the name of Islam. A quick internet search will give statistics. No, it is not a sickness. It is an evil destructive force, and to say otherwise, is to sympathize with evil, and to justify the actions of the terrorist. Hasan was just being a "good Muslim, showing the ultimate obedience to Allah."

Breitbart.com : Oprah Winfrey to interview Sarah Palin

Oh, maybe it's just me longing for someone, somewhere to show integrity by not using the celebrity route of going on Oprah, Letterman, Leno, etc. I thought it was denigrating to the office of the Presidency for Mr. Obama to appear on Letterman and other programs. There is too much blurring of the lines between what is real and what is entertainment. Hollywood does not represent the values of most Americans, yet they have enormous influence on our political choices. The temptations of power, money, and celebrity are too great for most people to resist. I'd just like to see someone who wouldn't be sucked into the trappings of such. When it comes to leadership, some of our military Generals are most impressive. They represent the best of us when it comes to self-discipline and accomplishing goals with a clear vision. That's what we need in a President in these times of free-fall. A person who can pull us out of this tailspin would be a rare find. We have a celebrity in the White House, now, and that is why we are seeing evasiveness in his duties as Commander-in-Chief. He is woefully lacking in the ability to make a timely decision for General McCrystal's request for more troops. Meanwhile, the troops there are suffering without a clear mission. We don't need another celebrity. We need someone capable of making quick decisions with wisdom in the face of a national crisis should it occur.

Breitbart.com : Oprah Winfrey to interview Sarah Palin

The day that Oprah announced her support for Obama was the day I e-mailed her and charged her with supporting Obama because of his skin color. I have not watched her since, nor picked up her magazine. I would have had a different opinion if she had ever shown political preference prior to supporting Obama. But, she swallowed his rhetoric hook, line and sinker without consideration for the actual qualifications for a President. We now know that Obama is woefully unqualified to make the hard decisions of a Commander-in-Chief. Having said that, I am thoroughly disappointed that Sarah Palin would go on her show. I guess the two of them are using strategy, Oprah to up her ratings, and Sarah to get her message out. It seems a bit of a sell out on Sarah's part, and though I'm a bit curious, I resolve not to watch. Sarah is a fine person. I like her. Last year, I voted for McCain/Palin. However, given the mess that Obama has gotten us into, we need a seasoned, strong, decisive, courageous, wise, discerning, principled person in the White House. Is there anyone left in America who can get us out of the downward spiral that the current Administration has gotten us into?

Perhaps he and his backers are thinking of his leadership of the world through a newly created body such as the United Nations, but with power. Or, the groundwork is being laid for the next Administration. The healthcare reform is not about healthcare as much as it is a grab for power. Once America has been weakened substantially economically, and, with the current circumventing of the American Constitution and its checks and balance as put in place by the founding fathers, through the current Administration's use of unvetted advisors to the President, the ground will have been laid for world ruler, should a crisis globally present itself. So, the end game for Obama and his handlers is for world domination - A new world order, if you will. And, the rest of the world is crying for leadership, and a new currency.
