West Ham Till I Die : Bobby Moore Must Never Be Forgotten

To this day, Sir Bobby Moore remains the best footballer I have ever had the priviliege to see play. Lets get that chant going tomorrow. A TRUE FOOTBALL LEGEND, a hero, and a bloody nice nice bloke as well. At lunchtime today, as I have done on this date for the last 19 years, I celebrated his life, with some friends down the pub, and will go back at 5.00pm to continue. Thank you SIR BOBBY MOORE, for so many magical moments.

I agree entirely with ClaretBobby about Stech, but if it is one game, surely Boffin should be able to deputise.

West Ham Till I Die : More Players to Leave?

We must keep Tomkins, he has been known to lack concentration in the past which has led to goals conceded (as has Noble), but, potentially he has real class, and part of the reason for his errors in the past was down to a certain Mr. Upson passing on big centre forwards he couldn't deal with. We do need to sign some quality players though. Forget Gudjohnsen, we need an out and out striker with 25 goals in him in the Championship. We won't get anywhere near promotion without one. Changing the subject completely, I hope everyone renews their season tickets because the team will need the backing of the fans more than ever next season, but i've a horrible feeling that the crowds will be the lowest for about 20 years.

West Ham Till I Die : The Tony Fernandes Bid and Could El Hadji Diouf be the First Acquisition?

Diouff, NO WAY, we've become a circus in the last few years and this would be the lowest of the low signings. Does anyone remember the good old days when we used to complain that we weren't in the papers often enough ! Now we dominate the back pages and all for the wrong reasons. Perhaps if FIFA got rid of Septic Bladder, we could make him our Director of Football.

West Ham Till I Die : Can Oil and Water Mix, as the 'Iron Surgeon' Cometh on a Two Year Contract!

I'm no fan of BFS but it's going to happen and we have to be positive. It's not just the Managers fault, only about 20% of the players gave their all last year, they are as much to blame. If BFS can turn that around and install a leader on the pitch (not a Scotty, but a true leader), and sort out the excuse of the way we defend, and that's from the front, not just the back four. We might, just might have a chance of getting out of the toughest league. It's going to take big hearts and great support. So come on ladies & gents, get behind your team,.

West Ham Till I Die : Is Chris Hughton the Front Runner?

wise up everyone, remember we are talking west ham and sullivan and gold + brady. we will get the cheapest, forget the right man for the job. it will be chris hughton and we will struggle again next season. so sorry to even say this, but it will happen. we won't be able to beat leeds, reading, leicester, cardiff, birmingham etc next season. i love this club to pieces and have never ever been this negative, but the world seems to be against us at the moment, we were destined to go down from the start with the crap ref decisions against us, the bad choice of manager, the bad attitude of the bulk of the players. i really am down at the moment. i've been going over there for 47 years now and can't really believe i'm writing this. will somebody please reply to this post and try and convince me i'm wrong. i love west ham and need to be proved wrong. anyone out there want a few pints to put things right. COYI, even thinking of not renewing my season ticket

West Ham Till I Die : The Enjoyment of the Many...

Iain The site is better off without them. I have always thought of this site as one without the moronic views of the so called "true supporters". The fact is, the people who contribute without malice, hatred or the necessity to use foul language, ARE THE true supporters. As expected, you didn't drop to their level and react in the way they would expect. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the start of the season.

West Ham Till I Die : Amidst the Transfer Anticipation, Do Not Forget Our Youngsters!

Good point, but it always sounds better than it actually is. We also need experienced players. Most of the players mentioned have great POTENTIAL. In real life, not that many reach that potential whilst still at West Ham. Don't forget, we are a club in great debt. No doubt some of these players will be sold when they reach a high value and are replaceable with either further youngsters coming through or squad players as in the past (Spector etc). Sorry to sound negative, far from it. But, remain realistic, the next two weeks are vital to West Ham's season. We need to sign at least 3 more players, and that's without selling any of our so called TOP stars.

hmm. as i was saying. PS I'm a West Ham supporter, and think that Dave & Dave (rather than the famous Chav & Dave) will drag us as low as possible, but listen WHU supporters, don't get pulled into this and get wound up, it's exactly what they want. Accept, Spurs had a great season, we were lucky to stay up. Get over it, laugh at the saddo's as well as the true comments that will appear, but just worry about what our club are doing and not Spurs. Don't give them the time of day. (i knew I should have gone into councelling).
